Such a great session with a great girl! She was one of our Haute to Trot ladies… bringing it!

Missy gave a great testimonial for all you ladies out there who are on the fence about doing a boudoir session. She said:

“I’ve always considered myself cute, but never sexy. I’m a plus sized girl and being sexy wasn’t something I envisioned in myself. I’m also low maintenance. I’ve never taken longer than 20 minutes on hair and makeup. When Gabrielle invited me to participate in a boudoir session my first reaction was to laugh. “That’s so not me!  I’m too fat!” I said. After assuring me she would be sure to avoid photographing my “problem” areas I agreed. It was a total blast. I drank champagne in a chic hotel room, had my hair and makeup done, and listened to great mood music. Gabrielle made me feel so comfortable and beautiful and encouraged me to let out that inner sexiness I had been holding in. All I can say is when I saw my pictures I felt like Narcissus!! I spent hours looking at them thinking – wow – that’s me. I sent them to all my girlfriends.  The feedback was unbelievable!  A friend booked a session the day she got them!  I highly recommend trying this for a serious ego boost!  Gabrielle is a thoughtful, intelligent photographer with an amazing eye for detail.  I can’t sing her praises enough.  Gabrielle – thank you for making me feel so beautiful!  You are the best!”

How fitting that while I am gearing up for this weekend’s Haute to Trot boudoir extravaganza, I am editing Yvette’s boudoir photos! This session was fun and unique and Yvette totally rocked it! We even stepped outside of the bedroom for some on-location stylee.

One of my absolute favorites to shoot is boudoir. I love the creativity and the intimacy, I love to make women feel great in their own skin. Boudoir photography has come a long way from the old skool “glamour shots” of the 80’s… It’s now becoming a way for women to express themselves and their individual beauty. Boudoir is becoming quite popular with brides who are looking for a personal and intimate wedding gift. Also boudoir sessions make a great gift for first year anniversaries since the traditional gift is paper!   

I offer individual boudoir sessions as well as a few boudoir marathons a year. What is a boudoir marathon, you ask? Well, I schedule boudoir sessions back-to-back for one whole weekend. Sessions take place in a fabulous hotel room suite and include professional hair and makeup. We have such a great time… and it’s a perfect pampering outing to do with a few girlfriends!

C. super rocked it! She came to us without much confidence, but once we got her all dolled-up she really came to life. Her inner-diva came out right before our eyes! And we had so much fun… by the time we were done she was absolutely giddy with excitement.
