This month I was flown to the Chicago area to document an art project created by my dear friend Ann Belden. Ann is a San Francisco artist I have known most of my life, and I was so excited to be a part of her latest work! Her piece was titled “Bushel” and it incorporated art and agriculture and the ties between the two. The piece was about the cycle of life and death and it also represented the harvest and abundance. She wove a 16 foot basket out of corn stalks that were still planted in the ground! It was amazing!
I was inspired by her work and the entire experience on the farm. I love being exposed to art, it opens my mind and broadens my horizons. It makes me see the world differently and contributes to my own craft. Check out some of my favorite shots from the trip…
