Spring has officially sprung~ so what does that mean? Engagements! I seem to always get a rush of engagement sessions at this time cause love is in the air! 

I love engagements because it’s such a great time to connect with my clients and get to know them better. I especially love to go to places that are special to them… Tana and Ted took me to their old stompin’ grounds in Ocean Beach. We cruised around Newport Ave. and the OB pier. I have to admit, I too have spent quite a bit of time in Ocean Beach so I felt right at home! Tana and Ted also have many memories from OB… I think these images really show off their personalities and how sweetly they interact together.

C. super rocked it! She came to us without much confidence, but once we got her all dolled-up she really came to life. Her inner-diva came out right before our eyes! And we had so much fun… by the time we were done she was absolutely giddy with excitement.

Shannon is writing a book! She needed some promotional shots so we headed to Little Italy to take advantage of all the great colors for backgrounds. This first one was taken on the side of the Harley Davidson store… It was pretty hilarious when all these burly guys on bikes showed up!

Ryan’s Great Grandma Mattie passed away last night. She lived a very rich and full life… till the age of 98!     Mattie always had a smile on her face and a spark in her eye. She absolutely loved it when we came to visit her. She would tell us her stories. Mattie was a sweet soul and our hearts will miss her dearly.

I don’t think there is any day better for an engagement session… Valentine’s Day! Holly and Michael joined me on the “day of love” in La Jolla for their couples session. We cruised around town and eventually ended up on the beach for a fabulous sunset! They both love the tidepools… it’s one of their favorite places to go together.

Holly and Michael are so sweet and easygoing… also totally supportive of my artistic vision. They didn’t question us going down smelly alleyways, even to the top of a parking garage to get some funky shots!  I love it when my clients let me be me.  Now check out these lovebirds… struck by cupid’s arrow, no doubt!

We crashed the La Jolla library! They were seriously up for anything
