Christina has graced my blog before... you might remember her rustic mountain wedding from a couple years ago. This time we went down to the beach in La Jolla to grab some pretty headshots. Christina is a massage therapist so she wanted photos that were casual, warm & inviting and yet still professional. The beach backdrop was perfect and really played up her blue eyes. A natural beauty!
It's not a big secret that San Diego is a nice place to visit. Millions of people come to San Diego each year to vacation with family and spend time relaxing at our beautiful beaches. I love it when a family will hire me to do a portrait session while everyone is in town. And now that my own parents are now grandparents I understand how extra special it is to capture these memories while the kids are young. I met up with this extended family who were staying at The Beach Cottages in Pacific Beach. We headed down to Crystal Pier to grab some nice portraits of them together. It's hard to beat springtime at Balboa Park. As you probably know, Balboa Park is a verrrry popular place for photos... and there's a reason why. So I was stoked to meet up with this couple for their engagement photos! Jamie and Esther are good peeps. I'm getting super excited for their intimate elopement coming right up.

I'm now offering yoga photography sessions! I have a long history with yoga... both my parents are instructors and my dad is actually the founder of the Prison Yoga Project bringing the gift of yoga to prisons. I have recently discovered my own passion for yoga and have been so inspired by the practice, I thought I would offer custom photography sessions to yogis who would like artistic images of themselves in asana. For this session we traveled to the Yuha desert and got some really spectacular images. The desert feels so sacred and mystical... it was a great place to be out in the elements practicing, along with the moon, mountains and desert dwellers.
