Courthouse weddings are having their moment! Luckily San Diego has a beautifully one located downtown by the Embarcadero. These two decided not to let Covid ruin their plans and eloped on their 7th anniversary!

I knew from the beginning that this would be an awesome party. Meredith and Steve are warm, fun OB locals who love music... how perfect to have their wedding at Humphreys Concerts by the Bay!
But it was so much more than a great party. From the getting-ready tears, to the sweet first look, to a deep/yet hilarious wedding ceremony, all the way to the heartfelt remarks made by loved ones and the epic dance party, this day was full of love. Congrats to Merfy & Steve!

Ok, a little backstory... While studying photography in college I enrolled in the mandatory "History of Photography" course. Well it was scheduled late in the afternoon and some days was the most boring hour of my day... that was, until I met the Donez twins.
They sat in the back, cracked jokes, were kinda silly, interesting and hilarious... plus they were identical twins, there were 2 of them. I knew we had to be friends! And friends we became, a friendship that has lasted over a decade. They are honestly two of the sweetest guys I have ever known.
Flash forward 13 years, and Anthony has found his perfect match, Angella.
A + A compliment each other so well. They are creative, adventurous, open-hearted and so down to earth. I was most honored to be chosen to document their wedding day. The emotions of the day flowed freely... it was hard not to tear up when Anthony first saw his beautiful bride or when best man/twin Christopher delivered his touching speech. If we weren't family before, we definitely are now. Sharing these moments are what I love about photographing weddings. LOVE you guys!
The rain cleared, the clouds opened up and San Diego gave us a gorgeous day out on the water!
Julia + Kevin chose to have a nautical destination wedding here in San Diego all aboard Flagship Cruises and Events. With views of downtown and Coronado, it was the perfect place to recite their vows in front of family & friends. Funny story, Julia and I actually went to high school together in Boulder, CO. We randomly reconnected (thru our dogs) both living in San Diego, were neighbors and have kept in touch since... So happy I got to photograph her wedding celebration and share in their marriage joy!

What a lovely day on the bay! Kathy and Brian are both animal lovers and actually met for the 1st time at the fiesta island dog park! So it was just perfect that they held their wedding at the Hilton Mission Bay with fiesta island as the backdrop. Kathy and Brian are so sweet and genuine and they were both a joy to work with. These two are meant to be together... and at the same time realistic about what it takes to build a strong relationship and marriage. I feel excited for them as they start their journey as a married couple. Congrats and best wishes!!
