haha. Who knew newborns were such hard work? Haven't had much time for anything else! We've been over the moon with our little guy and soaking up every second of it. Yes, challenging at times, but oh so worth it.

It's crazy, but since I've been pregnant I've gotten to photograph quite a few fellow preggos! I always think that it must be funny to watch both of us scampering up a hill or a cliff, or more like a waddle, haha. Shannon is another soon to be first time mama and both her and her hubby are super excited. We had plenty to talk about during their session at Marion Bear Park. They should be meeting their little man any day now!
Jenny and Josh are a sweet young couple. They had been dating long distance for awhile until Josh packed his bags and headed to California to join his bride! The wedding went off without a hitch... such a beautiful and special day. Jenny and Josh are so cute and playful and adorably loving when they look at one another. Two of Jenny's bridesmaids are past wedding clients... I feel so fortunate to be passed around such a great group of people!

Hallie and Mitch met working together at the San Diego Natural History Museum, so it was very appropriate that they got married there... just feet away from where they 1st laid eyes on one another! This couple had so much excitement in their eyes and it turned out to be such a wonderful day with many touching moments. Lots of wet eyes during the rooftop ceremony as well as when Hallie's dad sang to her "I loved her first". Daisy and I had a blast shooting this wedding... thanks for having us!

I can't believe I'm going to meet my little one any day now. In some ways the past 9 months have flown by and in some ways it feels like I've been pregnant FOREVER. As our due date approaches I get more and more excited to hold baby Reed in my arms. Amazing how much my life will change... I am truly stepping into unknown territory!
I have to say that probably my favorite thing to photograph has got to be pregnant women. There is something so magical about growing a baby inside you and it brings out such a rare beauty. So of course I had to get photos taken of me while pregnant. The first few were taken by my good buddy Donez, I was about 6 months along...
At 7.5 months pregnant I got my belly decorated with a beautiful henna design. The fantastic artwork was done by Tejal of Henna San Diego. Henna is done on pregnant bellies to as a blessing for the baby and the birth, and also to protect the baby from any evil spirits. The photos below were taken by Molly Marie Williams and I just love them. She made me feel like a beautiful and confident mama.
