Bolinas family photographer

My best friend/soul sister moved back home last year. I have to say it was tough, but I am adjusting to the miles between us because I know that our hearts are intertwined.

We have shared so much... from coming of age and exploring the freedom of our early 20s, moving together to San Diego, growing into motherhood and marriage to now, asking ourselves the big questions like what really makes us happy. I wish for her all the happiness this world has to offer and I'm so excited to watch her family blossom from this new beginning, this new life.

So glad I got to capture some photos of them last October in Bolinas. Love you guys!

Torrey Pines winter beach session

Winter at the beach? Yes please!!!

Well, San Diego doesn't get much of a winter season, (can you say 80 degrees in January?) but we still like to bundle up and pretend. I love the color, texture and scenery at Torrey Pines beach... such the perfect setting for this fun family shoot!

Moonlight Beach family session

Now that the weather is warming up and after this weekend Daylight Savings will give us one more hour of afternoon light...

I'm starting to get excited again for beach sessions!

We got some epic shots of this extended family session at Moonlight Beach. Everyone was in town for a family reunion and were all smiles for their beach photos. What a great way to remember time spent in beautiful San Diego!

Olivenhain, Encinitas family portraits

I had to blog this family session because the Hughes fam is one of my absolute favorite long time clients! We always have fun shooting their family photos and this year was no different. I love that they chose a more formal look, but in a relaxed setting. Totally their style!

It was also Ben's 5th birthday... so we had to do a formal portrait. Because every 5 year old need a photo in a tux! ;)
